Not only is Rihanna preparing for the release of her next album, it looks like she may be starting her own fashion label as well. Recently the pop princess was spotted wearing a “School Kills” T-shirt from Hyein Seo’s “Bad Education” collection, from the looks of it, she liked it so much she make it her own. Eight days after being photographed in the Tee, Rihanna’s company Roraj Trade, LLC trademarked “$CHOOL KILLS” with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office under the category of “leather products” and “clothing products”.
“Rihanna has already had a successful clothing line with River Island and is not limiting herself to just music and touring for the rest of her life,” a source close to the singer told Grazie Daily. “She will continue to release singles and albums, but she had plans in place to expand in other areas like fashion, for a good few years now.”
Originally spotted in a “Fear” stole from Seo’s Autumn 2014 collection, Rihanna seems to be a fan of his work and a supporter of young, up and coming designers. She’s also worn some of his pieces to Paris Fashion Week, the MTV Movie Awards and on tour with Eminem. If the tee is any inkling of what the collection may look like, we may be in store for some streetwear inspired designs.
