Right on the heels of her summer release Love the Free Vol. II, DJ Kitty Cash continues to impress with the drop of her visual mixtape, Love the Free. After its release, Cash felt the mixtape was lacking that extra something, from their she gathered together a group of emerging filmmakers. She gave visual and creative control over the the directors and required only one thing:The filmmakers could have no contact with the musicians whose songs they were going to interpret.
“When you leave the artist out of the creative process, the story is totally different,” explains the DJ.
The visual mixtape is a collection of nine videos, breathing life into select pieces by SZA, Kali Uchis, Dream Koala and more. Check out the video above.
