Do your fingers hurt when you update a status on Facebook? Does tweeting really take it out of you? Have no fear, a new app is being developed for the moments when words are just too much.
“Emojli”, the all emoji social network aims to put an end to using words to communicate online. Like the name suggests, the app is an emoji-only social network. It’s supposed to provide a way to communicate with your friends and family without the hassle of scrolling through a page trolls, spam, adverts, that one friend who always get their, “account hacked,” and hashtags. And of course, the dreaded meme.
Great. I can finally ask someone out without being at a loss for words.
Pat yourself on the back if you get it.
Details are pretty scarce at the moment, but founders Matt Gray and Tom Scott promise to only email new recruits twice and never to spam them. The app hasn’t launched yet, but future users are already reserving their handles, emoji only of course.
Emojili will be a mobile-only social network to start, with an initial iOS app already being developed. The app will be released some time from July to late August.
