California-based artist Loren Stump creates beautiful paintings in the form of glass. Sliced glass that is. He uses a form of glasswork called murrine , in which rods of glass are melted together, then sliced to reveal designs and patterns. Stump has been working for about 35 years to perfect his technique where he can now layer paintings into the glass before slicing them to view the final results. You can see more of Stump’s work over at his website.
