AIME Automatic Tracking Camera Mount

AIME Automatic Tracking Camera Mount | First Look

Startup Jigabot debuted the AIMe device this past January at CES, and it’ll probably be a must have accessory for anyone who owns a GoPro Camera.

The AIMe accessory is a small, pill-shaped tripod mount that automatically follows the subject while keeping them in frame in case you’re shooting alone. The small device swivels and tilts using unique algorithms powered by a quad-core ARM processor. The mount “sees” small infrared emitters worn by the subject, named Emit. And it does all of this while working in a 450 foot range.  Weighing fewer than 12 ounces, the device currently has about six prototypes in the making, and will be priced at about $299. The AIMe Automatic Tracking Camera Mount will be available this June.

Now I’m thinking about picking one of these up for next season. I guess we will just have to wait and see what the reviews say!
